In celebration of our TWENTIETH YEAR of partnering with educators to foster the development of creative expression in student writers, we are proud to announce our new grant program!
Beginning in 2008, we will be awarding:
THREE $1000 GRANTS and TEN $250 GRANTS
... to teachers across the country who submit poems for consideration of publication in the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans.

... to teachers across the country who submit short stories for consideration of publication in the Anthology of Short Stories by Young Americans.
That's twenty-six grants totalling $11,000!
To be considered for a grant, simply submit the work of at least twenty of your students along with a copy of Entry Form / Voucher. The winning teachers will be drawn from among all selected entries, so the more you submit, the better your chances! In addition, all schools that submit at least ten poems or short stories will receive a free copy of the book containing their students' work when it is printed (limit: one per school). There is no cost to participate, no cost to submit poems or stories, and no cost for students to be published.
