The paintings on the wall are words not spoken,
locked in a prison of color and enchantment.
A tongue is hushed in the brush strokes
of this anonymous author,
and forever hidden in the rough of the canvas.
I seek revelation in this awkward explanation,
and wrap my thoughts in folds of confusion.
Tears fall, wept in desperation of eyes hurt by deception.
Blinds are drawn on this view of another world
blending paint and texture to numb perception.
If the truth shall oust, let it be now.
Forever is too long a time to sit in silence.
